Assistant Teachers
- Prepare the environment for learning
- Create individualized observations to participate in assessments and identifying appropriate material used for curriculum implementation
- Supervise and care for children
- Maintain continuous education requirements
- Maintain a healthy and safe environment
- Clean as directed
Requirements
- Must have an associates degree or higher
- Must have at least 15 units in Child Development, Early Childhood, or equivalent from an accredited college
- Must have at least 3 months experience from a practicum course, internship, volunteer opportunity, or employment
- Must have knowledge about Montessori philosophy
- Teachers will be trained for their job but must have some basic knowledge about the Montessori philosophy before being hired
Nutrition – Health & Safety Specialist
- The employee is responsible for managing the menu and food preparation as regulated by the USDA Child and Adult Care Food Program
- Ensuring health and safety requirements are implemented as directed by employer and all regulatory or accrediting bodies for the Trepson program
- The employee should be prepared to clean and make the environment safe
- Teaching assistant floater as needed
